May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and while 1 in 5 people may be diagnosed with a disorder, 5 in 5 of us have mental health to manage. We cannot leave our well-being to chance; without intentional care, our brains can easily get dragged down by negative thought patterns.

To support you in building resilience and mental strength, The Teen Anxiety Maze is hosting a special collaborative series throughout the entire month of May. Every Monday, we will feature a powerful episode from a leading parent coach, offering new perspectives and expert support for your parenting journey.

What’s Coming This Month:
Week 1: Lisa Candera
| How to Stop Taking Your Child's Behavior Personally – Learn a practical framework to stay steady when your child’s behavior feels like rejection.

Week 2: Pam Howard | How to Move On After a Mama Meltdown – Essential listening for moms who want to reconnect after an unexpected reaction.

Week 3: Dawn Friedman | Judicious Giving Up – Discover how letting go of specific problems can help you focus on what actually matters.

Week 4: Leah Davidson | Parenting Older Kids Without Overfunctioning – Navigating the changing relationship dynamic with teens and adult children.

Remember: you are doing the best you can, and it’s okay if some days you don't have the bandwidth. Tune in every Monday in May to prioritize your mental health and find the support you deserve.

I have something truly exciting to share with you!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. I saw these statistics the other day and they are so important: 1 in 5 people will be diagnosed with a mental health disorder sometime in their life, BUT 5 in 5 people have mental health to manage.

Do you actively think about your mental health? If you listen to The Teen Anxiety Maze, you know that my whole business is based on helping you and young people build resilience and mental strength. Every single one of us has to pay attention and take care of our mental health. We can’t just leave it to chance—our brains will run away with negative thoughts, and if we don’t pay attention, we get dragged down into a hole that is hard to get out of.

For the entire month of May, I’m thrilled to introduce you to a collaborative series with four other leading parent coaches, designed to give you expert support and new perspectives for Mental Health Awareness Month.

Every Monday in May, I will be featuring a powerful episode from one of my coaching colleagues, along with my personal take on their topic. This collaboration is about supporting you and knowing that we are all out here to help.

Here are the episodes coming your way:

  • Week 1: Lisa Candera's episode, "How to Stop Taking Your Child's Behavior Personally". This episode offers a practical framework for any parent to stay steady and respond in a way that helps, even when a child's behavior feels like disrespect or rejection.

  • Week 2: Pam Howard of the Less Drama More Mama podcast shares "How to Move On After a Mama Meltdown". This is especially helpful for moms who care deeply about being calm and connected but sometimes react in ways that surprise them.

  • Week 3: Dawn Friedman of Tell Me It Will Be OK shares her parenting philosophy in "Judicious Giving Up". This concept is about letting go of solving a specific problem to focus on what really matters.

  • Week 4: The series wraps up with Leah Davidson of the Building Resilience Podcast discussing "Parenting Older Kids Without Overfunctioning". This episode is for midlife parents who are navigating the transition of their relationship with teens or adult kids.

Remember, all parents are doing the best they can. Some days are better than others, and sometimes we just don’t have the bandwidth. That is OK. Please take care of yourselves and know that support is available!

I can’t wait to share this with you. Be sure to tune in every Monday in May!
